Going to the Sun Road

Jensen and I went through Glacier National Park on our drive from Coeur d'Alene to Cardston.  Even though going through the park made the drive there quite a bit longer, it was worth it because it was so pretty.  Jensen had been there quite a few times with his family, so he wanted to take me there.

The rocky area and the river reminded me so much of Kodiak.  And makes me want to go fishing!
Magical.
As pretty as the drive was, I was being a big grouch because the trip was taking so long and there was tons of road construction making it even longer.  I was complaining to Jensen and said the trip would only be worth it if I saw a moose or a bear.  I didn't see either of those, but I did see goats! And a baby goat!!!  I was able to get pretty close to them when I was taking the picture.

Hayden Lake

I was most looking forward to boating during our trip to Coeur d'Alene.  Two days while we were there we went to Hayden lake to boat and wake board.  Last year when we visited the weather wasn't warm enough so I didn't want to actually get in the lake water, but it was nice and hot while we were there this time.  And the lake water was nice and warm and smooth.  Jensen, Suz, and I even got a pretty big sun burn the first day we were out.  We put on tons of sun screen, but our white skin just couldn't handle all that sunshine.
At one end of the lake there's a sand bar next to a summer camp we like to stop at.  The camp leaders even came out with free ice cream to hand out to us one day.  It's hard to beat boating and free ice cream.
Boating on day two we started out with a little sun burn.
Apparently this is what I look like when the sun is shining in my eyes and I forget my sunglasses. Also you can see I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt and have it buttoned all the way up to my neck to protect my already red skin

Jordan's awesome morning hair.
When I first got in the water to wake board it felt pretty cold, and I was super nervous since I have only been wake boarding once before and it was about 3 years ago.
Jensen fell out of the wake board boots when he crashed, and was having a little trouble putting them back on.
He got some big air!  This trip was his first time ever wake boarding, so I was really impressed with how fast he picked it up.
Jordan got some good air too.

Coeur d'Alene Boardwalk

During our vacation last week we first stopped in Coeur d'Alene Idaho to visit my Dad and Lisa.  Coeur d'Alene is one of my favorite places to visit.  It's absolutely beautiful and surrounded by lakes, trees, and mountains.  The first night we arrived Suz, Jordan, Jensen, and I went down the the Coeur d'Alene lake and walked along the boardwalk.  This boardwalk is actually the world's longest floating boardwalk which is kind of neat.  It's on the like right off of a huge fancy resort.  Most of the time we visit we go there for huge goblets full of ice cream and other treats for dessert.

Girls Camp

Oops... I didn't realize it had been a month since I posted anything.  Jensen and I just got back from a vacation to visit our families so I've taken a little break from blogging.  A few weeks ago I got to go to girls camp for our stake for church.  It was a lot of fun, but also a lot harder than I thought it would be.  I was a big baby and missed Jensen way more than I thought I would.

We went up to a camp in Heber owned by the church that was absolutely beautiful.  They had a rule that we had to wear pants the whole time we where there, and I was a little afraid of roasting since down here where we live it's been in the upper 90s for months.  The weather was great though.  Most days were pretty cool, especially in the shade of all the trees.

They had a ropes course at camp we got to zip line at!
We were surrounded by aspen trees.  I think they're my new favorite.  They were beautiful!
I was with the second years at camp.  Here's me with some of the girls from our ward on our hike.
Deer! We saw a ton of them at camp.  They're so used to having people around they let you get pretty close too.
