Christmas Photos

Jensen and I took Christmas pictures this year with Suzanne and Jordan.  I had great plans to make Christmas cards and send them to my family, but that didn't happen... so if you're reading this consider this your Christmas card :).  Last year we didn't even take photos, so maybe next year we will take photos and send out a card!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Things over here have been a little crazy.  Jensen and I moved!  We bought a house out in Eagle Mountain so we have been packing, cleaning, and unpacking all week.  And doing a lot of driving! I'm really excited for when we'll be done with everything at our place in Springville so I don't have to drive to two homes every day.

We don't have much of our house unpacked yet, but Jensen and I made sure to get the Christmas up first!  Since I like to have Christmas decorations up right around Thanksgiving we made sure to get them up quick. My decorations were the last things I took down at our old house, and the first things up at our new house.  Even though I had a few decorations up in Springville, we waited to put up the tree until after we moved since it takes so long.  Last night Jensen and I finally finished setting up our tree, and now it really feels like Christmas!

Flashback to Fall

Way back in October I took some family photos for my friend Nancy and finally got around to getting them edited this weekend.  Her kids are the cutest.  Jensen and I got to teach her son in primary for a little while and we loved him.  I sure am going to miss this family when Jensen and I move.

Activity Advent Calendar

Photobucket
To kick of the holiday season I decided to make an activity advent calendar for Jensen and me.  I thought it would be fun to do a Christmas activity each day until Christmas arrives! Some of my activities are really small, and some a little silly, but each day in December I have something planned for us to do.

Here's my list of Christmastime activities for my calendar (in no particular order).  I was going to write the activity the back of each number, but I got lazy, and since I'm sure the days will change around I left them off.  I know some nights we will both be working late or busy with other things and won't have very much time at home, so I don't have a big activity planned for every day.  Some are as simple as drinking hot chocolate, and some as involved as going out for a fancy dinner date (and dress up!).

1- Go to the Festival of Trees
2- Decorate our Christmas tree
3- Watch a Christmas movie
4- Make gingerbread houses
5-Listen to Christmas music by the fireplace
6-Make Christmas cookies
7-Make Christmas ornaments
8-Drink hot chocolate
9-Take Christmas card pictures
10-Make a snowman
11- Go sledding
12- Make a Christmas craft
13- Visit Temple Square to see the lights
14- Get dressed up and go on a fancy dinner date
15-Have a sleepover under the Christmas tree
16- Go sledding
17-Picnick under the Christmas tree
18-Drive around and look at Christmas lights
19- Build a snowman
20-Make paper snowflakes
21-Do an act of service
22-go ice skating
23- Read the Christmas story from the Bible
24- Open Christmas jammies

So far Jensen and I are doing pretty terrible at the activities on our calendar.  We went to the Festival of Trees for our first activity of December, and then I got really sick.  And then Jensen got really sick.  So we will have a bit of making up to do once we are both fully recovered.

November Wrap Up

My November photos look like they were taken months and months apart, mostly because it started in California and ended with lots of Christmas crafts and decorating.  In between was Thanksgiving and games with friends.

Month Wrap Up October

Again I skipped a month wrap up, so here's what my phone has to say about October, which now feels like it was ages ago.  October was full of some of the most beautiful bike rides and sunsets I have ever seen, along with beautiful changing leaves.  Along with some dressing up for Halloween and pumpkins.

The Happiest Place on Earth

While we were visiting my mom we went up to Anaheim to go to Disneyland! I was so excited since I had never been before.  They already had their Christmas decorations up so that made it even better for me.

Here we are on the Matterhorn!  This was one of my favorite rides.  Jensen's favorite (Indiana Jones) was closed for repairs so I didn't get a chance to go on it.
I wasn't very good at getting both of us in the picture.

Seaport Village and Julian Pie

Here's the last of our pictures from visiting San Diego (besides Disneyland). Sorry if I'm boring you with all my photos, but we had a lot of fun and a lot of pictures to prove it.  These are from Seaport Village and Julian.  Julian is a little town in the mountains about an hour and a half from San Diego.  It was a cute little touristy town that is famous for their pie.  We spent the day up there with Rick and my mom, and even though I got sick on the windy car ride the way up it was still tons of fun.

This is the only picture I got on our trip with both my mom and Rick, so even though Rick is talking and my mom's eyes are closed I had to post it :)

Our entire trip every time Jensen saw a stair rail he had to slide down it.  I think he slid down about 10 railings.
