Cabbage Patch Baby

Dunken and I went to North Carolina at the end of September to visit my grandma and older sister.  While we were there we had a little Dunken photo session in a cabbage patch.  Prepare yourself for a photo overload.  Dunken's so cute I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites to post. :)  He loved it out there!

Little pumpkin patch

There's a small pumpkin patch not too far from our house where you can go and pick pumpkins and leave a donation for the Perpetual Education Fund.  Jensen, Dunken, and I went to pick a little Dunken sized pumpkin.  I'm sure Dunken didn't care one bit about our outing, but he sure looked cute holding on to his pumpkin.

DIY Paper Bat Wreath

Today I have a super simple bat "wreath".  It's so simple it doesn't really need a tutorial, but I thought I would share one anyway. :) All you need to make this is black cardstock, bat templates, and scissors, an xacto knife, or sihouette cameo to cut them out.  

First cut out the bats in varying shapes and sizes.  I used around 20 bats for my wreath.

Tape your bats to the wall flying in a clockwise circle.  I started with the bigger bats first and added more as I went so they would be evenly spaced. 

 After the bats are all up bend the bat wings to give the effect that they are flying.

That's it!

DIY Halloween Wreath Round Up

I'm not usually one to decorate for Halloween, but this year I have been feeling a little more festive. A wreath is a great way to add Halloween decor to your home.  I did a roundup of some of my favorite DIY Halloween wreaths I found on Pinterest.  Which one is your favorite?

I love the cute and slightly spooky ghosts on this Halloween felt ghost wreath from Tatertots and Jello. I think this one is my favorite!

You might already have the supplies on hand for this simple yarn wreath with bats from eighteen25! 

All you need to this black twig wreath is a black spray paint!

Another favorite of mine is this DIY witch wreath.

You'd never guess this wreath is made from coffee filters!

If you take off the "boo" sign, this felt rose wreath can transition into Thanksgiving decorations! 

Black silk flower wreath from Martha Stewart is a more elegant take on a Halloween wreath.
