Aspens

I love aspen trees.  I love their tall strait white trunks and their small fluttering leaves.  I wish I could have a forest of them in my backyard.  Since I can't, drives up to the aspen forests will have to do for now.

Three and Four Months

3 months: Dunken just barely started talking baby talk, not just baby grunts any more! The first time he did it sounded like real words so it was a little creepy actually.  He loves reading books with mama and daddy.  He smiles all the time and really recognizes Jensen and me now.

4 months: I totally spaced taking the normal monthly photo for Dunken at 4 months! :( Here's a few pictures taken right when he turned four months old.  Dunken has just started to laugh! He's only done it a few times and it takes a lot of work.  The first time he did it I was bouncing him while Jordan made faces, so right now it's a two person job.  He had his four month doctor appointment and handled the second round of shots much better than his first.  His weight is in the 13th percentile, 92nd for head size, and 37th for height.   He weighs 13.8 lbs. One more exciting thing about 4 months is that he slept through the night! He only did it once and hasn't since.  We'll see if he starts to do it regularly any time soon.  Fingers crossed!

Up the canyon

Last Sunday Jensen and I took our first drive of the season up American Fork Canyon.  We stopped for a picnic and then went up to Tibble Fork Reservoir to walk around a little.  The weather was perfect and as always being up in the mountains was beautiful! I look forward to many more of these drives this summer.

Suzy and Jordan

One last set of photos from the apple orchards.  Suz and Jordan have decided to put their jobs on hold and go on a grand adventure this summer.  They're going to be living in and traveling around the US in their camper.  I'm really excited for them!  Hopefully Jensen and I will be able to meet up with them at least one of their stops. (Maybe Yellowstone or the redwoods?)  I'm sure this summer when I'm lonely and missing Suz I will most likely cry and not be so excited any more.  I think Dunken will miss them too.  Jordan is probably his favorite person ever.  Maybe Dunken just likes beards or think he is funny looking ;), but Jordan can make him smile bigger than anyone else I know.

Master of Science!

Being a master of science is a pretty big deal, so we took some photos of Suz in the orchards to document her big day.  Congrats Suzy!

Opa and Dunken

It's safe to say Opa and Dunken are a little in love with each other.

I love apple blossoms

 

About a month ago the apple orchard down in Provo was full of blossoms so I made Suz take some pictures of Dunken and me.  Being around all the blossoming trees made me so happy inside.  Almost as much as trees with changing leaves in the fall.  So here's some pictures, and that's all I have to say about that.
