Getting ready for Valentines Day

22/365: I went over to Suzanne's house to make Valentines tassels.  They took a really long time so I'm still not totally finished with mine.  I'll post a picture of it as soon as I'm done.
23/365: I made this burlap heart garland last week and I love it!  It was really simple (and inexpensive) to make too.
I'm not a huge fan of Valentines day, but making all these decorations has gotten me a little more excited.  This year to celebrate with Jensen I want to dress up fancy and have a nice dinner at home.

More 365

19/365: More snow.  I thought the snow covering the little rubber pieces coming of the tires looked so neat! And I don't think I ever get tired of looking at individual snow flakes.
20/365: Hawaiian Haystacks.. yum!  This is probably one of my favorite dinners, partially because they're so easy and also because they taste so good!

21/365: My elephant teapot.  He is usually found on my dining room table and I love it!

In the Craft Room

17/365: While unpacking my craft room I came across some paintings I did years ago.  I haven't painted in a long time and really want to start up again!

18/365: For the past few months most of my belongings besides my clothes and kitchen items have been packed away.  Lately I've finally started crafting and sewing again and it's been so nice!

Salt Lake

16/365: Wednesday night I went up to Salt Lake to hang out with my friend Liz.  She lives just down the road from the capitol building. It's so pretty at night! This photo doesn't do it justice.

Snowboarding

A few days after Christmas Morley came down from Canada for a few days of snowboarding!  The snow was amazing and Brighton was absolutely beautiful.  I couldn't stop taking pictures because the trees were so full of snow.

Photo Wall

15/365: In my craft room I taped up some photos of my family.  Here's one of my Papaw in the army.  I'm not sure when this was taken, but it's one of my favorites of him.

Stellar Dendrites

14/365: Most mornings we wake up to a fresh dusting of snow.
Did you know a fancy word for snow crystals is stellar dendrites? A little fact I learned from Dena.  Our family (mostly the girls) have been playing trivial pursuit over our group chats some nights.  It's been fun to play a little game with them even though we're miles and miles away from each other.

Sunday

13/365 Sundays are my favorite day of the week.  It's the only day Jensen and I both have off together and it's so nice to be able to relax and not worry about our normal responsibilities.  This Sunday after church I finally got around to unpacking and organizing my craft room.  I put a bed for Pigeon under my bed in that room and she loves it.  Whenever I come home she's sitting in her bed asleep.

Thrifting

12/365: Thrifting with Suz
I was really tempted to buy this giant ceramic kitty, but I knew if I did Jensen would kill me ;)
If only I had a place I could wear a jacket like this.
Before thrifting I got a hair cut on Saturday.  Mid-hair cut is always a little scary, especially because the hair dresser always blow dries my hair which I never do because of the resulting poof.  After my hair unpoofed I really like it.

Home

11/365: I'm finally getting around to hanging some pictures in our house, so it's really starting to feel put together.  I made a galler wall in our entry way and I love it!

Sister Sleepover

Pigeon really likes Suz.
Last weekend Suzanne and I had a sister sleepover! It was a lot of fun to be able to spend more time when her than just a couple of hours.  With both of us being so busy with work or school, and now that we live farther apart from each other we haven't had as much time together as we normally do.

Project 365

8/365 This is one of my favorite pictures of Jensen and I.  It's from our bridals taken a little before we got married, and it sits on my bedside table.
9/365 Another foggy morning
10/365 A bright sunny morning!

Christmas Day

Christmas morning in our new house was great!  It was pretty laid back.  We woke up, opened presents, ate biscuits and gravy for breakfast (my favorite!), and skyped with our families off and on most of the morning and afternoon.  Jensen's friend Dan had us all over for Christmas dinner, so I got away with not having to cook any fancy meals this Christmas. Fine by me! :)
