April Instagram

It's almost May which means it's almost summer! and almost my anniversary and almost my birthday! Here's some instagram pictures from April.  As you can see Pigeon was extra cute in April which means lots of Pigeon pictures :)  Also with April came lots of yummy snacks, a few more snowfalls, and super cross.  Jensen and I went to Salt Lake Saturday night to watch the super cross at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

It's Friday Friday Friday

Boy am I glad the weekend is finally here!  By the end of work today I think I was angry at anyone I had to talk to, just because I was tired of answering the phone and talking to people.  I'm excited to relax a little and not talk to anyone, unless I want to! :)

Baby Ducks!

I love baby animals! Especially ducklings.  Before our walk on Sunday Jensen and I went and tried to feed the ducks.  The pond we went to probably has the best fed ducks ever because so many people go there to feed them, so none of them were hungry.  Spiderman was even there.  He wasn't feeding ducks though, just terrorizing them.  Also if you wanted to know what a duck looks like when they are cleaning themselves those bottom two pictures will show you!

Taking a Walk

The weather on Sunday was beautiful! After church Jensen and I enjoyed the weather with a walk around the flowery path at BYU.  Even though I'm still a little bitter about winter never really coming this year, I'm excited for warm weather and summer!  Strawberries and snow cones here I come!  Now I'm just hoping it will stay nice for more than two days at a time.

Top Shot

Jensen and I went shooting last week on our day off together.  It was a lot of fun! I even brought my old biochemisty text book that I wasn't able to sell back to get some revenge :)  Whenever we go shooting I make it a little competition that whoever gets closest to the bullseye get to choose where we go for a treat.  I won this time so Jensen owes me frozen yogurt!

Triangle Bag Tutorial

I bought a pack of canvas bags a while ago when I made my dot bag and I finally figured out what to do with the extra ones.  I added some triangle embellishments for a pop of color.  I really like the way they turned out!
Materials:
-canvas bag
-scraps of 4 coordinating fabrics
-sewing machine
-paper
-fabric pencil
-scissors (for paper and for fabric)

This makes you end up with a triangle that is about 3.5 inches on all sides. (The diagonal lines I cut are just shy of 3.5 inches).  It's probably not the easiest way to make an equilateral triangle, but it's the best I could think of without a compass.

Triangle Bag

I've been making these triangle bags lately and they are a lot of fun and pretty easy! I shouldn't really say "making" because I didn't actually make the bag itself, I just added the embellishments. They make a great bag for church or to hold books. Stay tuned for a tutorial later this week!

Sister Date

On Saturday Suz and I had a fun sister date.  We started the day going to Bijou Market and came away with really cute jewelry and some water color prints from Ash-May.  Next we went to lunch at Guru's and then back to my house to sew and hang out.

10 things I love about spring and summer

I'm over here today posting about my 10 loves of summer.  Steph from Side By Side Survival Guide is so cute and I love her blog! You should all check it out.

Simon's Cat

If you know me, you know I love kitties.  I don't normally post things like this, but I wanted to share this because I thought it was so funny! I won't be offended if you don't laugh as much as me because I laughed like a crazy person.  I'm pretty sure I have the sense of humor of a 12 year old sometimes.  Here's another one of my favorites.

Easter Sunday

Happy Easter! How was your Easter Weekend? Jensen and I had a yummy dinner with another couple in our ward. It was a lot of fun. After dinner we went on a bike ride (our favorite Sunday pastime) down the road from where we live past lots of cows, farms, and railroad tracks. It was a beautiful day, with some much needed warmth and sunshine after the huge show storm that greeted us Friday morning.

Easter Tree

I wanted to make a simple decoration for Easter and I remembered a white tree my Grandma had in her house when I was growing up with little ornaments on it. All I did to make this was cut a tree branch from the tree in my yard and spray paint it white. The ornaments came from Pier One last summer (90% off!).
